Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, TERRA Environmental struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sunset's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They lost to American on the road by a decisive 54-39 margin.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Esmeralda Santana, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Bianca Pancheco, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
TERRA Environmental now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Sunset, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for TERRA Environmental against Sunset in their previous meeting back in January of 2018 as the team secured a 55-21 win. With TERRA Environmental ahead 41-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
