Karl Johnson

Karl Johnson has been named player of the year. "Congratulations to Karl Johnson being selected as Santa Fe High School's 2023 Player of the Year. Karl is a true difference maker. His main role this year was facing off. This year alone, he faced off 240 times with a 56% win ratio. This is 265th in the Nation, 54th in the State of Florida, and 23rd in Class 1A. Karl fought hard each and every time he faced off. I cannot recall a single clean clamp, fast break against him. His contribution did not end there. Karl earned the LSM position on our Man Down team. He was a shut down defender on the left side. Karl had 13 caused turnovers and grabbed 79 ground balls. He's a dual sport (football) athlete that will be playing lacrosse at the next level. Karl earned our team's 'Difference Maker' award two years straight. He has had an incredible high school experience and will be greatly missed. Karl is Santa Fe High School's Player of the Year."
