Next, we will announce the top 60 players from the Class of 2020.
Here are some interesting facts about this group of 60. Both first team quarterbacks combined to throw for 9,822 yards and 132 touchdowns in 2016. J.T. Daniels and Grant Gunnell finished third and fourth, respectively, when it came to passing touchdowns last season. The Golden State has six players alone on the first team, with five coming on the defensive side of the ball. Texas leads the way with 10 players represented and a total of 23 different states are represented.
MaxPreps Preseason 2017 Junior All-American Football Teams
First Team OffenseQB — JT Daniels, 6-2, 205, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)The nation's No. 1 quarterback in the Class of 2019 threw for 4,849 yards and 67 touchdowns during his sophomore year. The recent USC commit was named the MaxPreps 2016 Sophomore of the Year. Daniels and the Monarchs start the 2017 season as the No. 1 team in our Xcellent 25 rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
QB — Grant Gunnell, 6-6, 210, St. Pius X (Houston)Just like Daniels, Gunnell is coming off an impressive sophomore season. The future Texas A&M Aggie threw for 4,973 yards and 65 touchdowns in 2016. The Houston star checks in as the No. 2 pro style quarterback in the Class of 2019.
RB — Deondrick Glass, 5-11, 190, Katy (Texas)Katy has produced some big-time running backs over the years and you can add Glass to that list. The Texas star ran for nearly 2,000 yards, 30 touchdowns and averaged over 10 yards a carry in 2016.
RB — Noah Cain, 5-11, 205, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.)Both first team running backs would have been from Texas, but Noah Cain transferred to IMG Academy for his junior season. The former Denton Guyer (Texas) star rushed for nearly 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns last season. The Ascenders will have one of the most dangerous backfields with Cain and 2017 Preseason First Team All-American T.J. Pledger carrying the load.
WR — David Bell, 6-2, 185, Warren Central (Indianapolis)The No. 1 player from Indiana in the Class of 2019 had a monster sophomore season hauling in 68 receptions for 1,201 yards and 17 touchdowns. He leads a very talented Warren Central team as it starts the 2017 season as the No. 22 team in the Top 25.
WR — Theo Wease, 6-3, 190, Allen (Texas)The 4-star wide receiver checks in as the No. 6 wideout in the Class of 2019 and is the No. 3 player from Lone Star State. Expect a breakout junior season from one of the most talented players in the country.
TE — Grayson Boomer, 6-5, 230, Collinsville (Okla.)The nation's No. 1 tight end in the Class of 2019 is going to be one of the best playmakers in the country this season. He checks in as the No. 2 player overall from Oklahoma and is a Top 50 recruit overall.
OL — Kardell Thomas, 6-4, 320, Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, La.)The future LSU Tiger is one of the top rated players in the Class of 2019. He is the top rated offensive guard and is the No. 12 overall player on 247sports player composite rankings. He is one of the best all-around blockers in the country.
OL — Enokk Vimahi, 6-5, 270, Kahuku (Hawaii)The Red Raiders are loaded with some of the top underclassmen in the country and one of the best is the 4-star Vimahi. He checks in as a Top 50 recruit overall in the Class of 2019, No. 4 offensive tackle and is the No. 2 player from the Aloha State.
OL — Wanya Morris, 6-5, 270, Grayson (Loganville, Ga.)Grayson has one of the most talented teams in the country and one of their top players in Class of 2019 is standout Morris. The future Florida State Seminole is the fifth rated offensive tackle in his class and is a Top 65 player overall.
OL — Devontae Dobbs, 6-4, 270, Belleville (Mich.)The nation's No. 1 offensive tackle in the Class of 2019 checks in as the No. 1 player overall from Michigan and the only lineman rated ahead of him is Southern Lab's Kardell Thomas.
OL — Clay Webb, 6-3, 295, Oxford (Ala.)The nation's No. 2 offensive guard was a first team All-State pick by the Alabama Sports Writers Association in 2016. Webb was also a 2016 MaxPreps Sophomore All-American first team selection.
AP — Jerrion Ealy, 5-8.5, 170, Jackson Prep (Miss.)The 4-star running back from Mississippi is one of the best all-around players in the country. He had nearly 1,000 yards rushing, 600-plus yards receiving and 29 total touchdowns. He is also one of the most dangerous kickoff and punt return specialists in high school football.
AP — Mycah Pittman, 6-0, 195, Calabasas (Calif.)During his sophomore season at Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.) with Matt Corral he had over 1,300 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns. He is one of the best playmakers in the country and averaged 24 yards a catch in 2016. Calabasas' lost some big-time players, but adding Pittman to the roster will be a big boost for the Coyotes in 2017.
K — Kolton McGhee, 6-0, 170, Bishop Guilfoyle (Altoona, Pa.)McGhee
was 10-for-10 kicking field goals in 2016 and the West Virginia
commit checks in as the top rated kicker from the Class of 2019.

DL — Kayvon Thibodeaux, 6-5, 235, Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.)The country's top rated defensive end is coming off an impressive sophomore season that saw him record 17 sacks and 27 tackles for loss. He announced before his junior year he will be playing for Oaks Christian and along with Bo Calvert will help give the Lions one of the best defenses in the state.
DL — Ishmael Sopsher, 6-4, 310, Amite (La.)When the new 247sports player composite rankings came out earlier this summer Amite's 5-star defensive tackle was named the No. 1 player overall. He is one of the best all-around defensive lineman in the country, as he stuffs the run, puts pressure on the quarterback and always demands a double team.
DL — Zach Harrison, 6-6, 240, Olentangy Orange (Lewis Center, Ohio)There might not be a more athletic player in the Class of 2019 than Olentangy Orange's Harrison. The 5-star defensive end checks in as the No. 8 player overall and is the top rated player from Ohio. He is just as dangerous on offense lining up at tight end and was a first team All-Ohio selection in 2016.
DL — Nolan Smith, 6-3, 225, IMG AcademyIMG Academy is going to have one of the most dangerous defensive fronts in the country this season with
Xavier Thomas and Nolan Smith both coming off the edge. The future Georgia Bulldog checks in as the No. 3 player overall in the Class of 2019 and is the top rated player from the Sunshine State.
LB — Owen Pappoe, 6-0, 205, GraysonThe nation's top rated linebacker has been on the national radar even before he started high school. He became the first freshman to ever be invited to The Opening in 2015. He followed that with a monster sophomore season and helped lead Grayson to its first state championship since 2011. Grayson begins the season as the No. 6 team in our Xcellent 25 and one of the main reasons why is because of Pappoe's leadership on defense.
LB — Henry To'oto'o, 6-2, 210, De La Salle (Concord, Calif.)De La Salle has produced some big-time football players, including Maurice Jones-Drew, Amani Toomer, D.J. Williams and T.J. Ward. To'oto'o might be the next big star to come out of De La Salle. The 4-star linebacker helped lead the Spartans to the CIF Open Division state championship game in 2016 and expect another big year from the No. 2 outside linebacker in the Class of 2019.
LB — Donte Starks, 6-1, 225, John Ehret (Marrero, La.)The top rated inside linebacker in the Class of 2019 is coming off a sophomore season that saw him record 85 tackles, four sacks, 14 tackles for loss and force four fumbles. The former St. Martin (Ocean Springs, Miss.) star transferred to John Ehret in January and should play a big-time role for the Patriots in 2017.
LB — Charles Thomas, 6-0, 220, IMG AcademyThe former Georgia high school star will play his junior season for Florida power IMG Academy. He was a 2016 MaxPreps First Team All-American after recording 132 tackles last season. The future Michigan Wolverine is the No. 4 inside linebacker in the Class of 2019.
DB — Brian Williams, 6-0, 185, Bishop Dunne (Dallas)The top rated safety and No. 1 player from the Class of 2019 from Texas is one of the best defensive playmakers in the country. He finished 2016 with eight interceptions and 78 tackles.
DB — Akeem Dent, 6-0, 170, Palm Beach Central (Wellington, Fla.)The recent Florida State commit checks in as the No. 5 overall player in the Class of 2019 and is the top rated cornerback among all rising juniors. The former Pahokee (Fla.) star is the second-rated player in the state, trailing only IMG Academy's Nolan Smith.
DB — Chris Steele, 6-1, 175, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)St. John Bosco will have one of the best defenses in the country in 2017 and one of the main reasons why is because of its secondary. Steele along with
Jaiden Woodbey help form one of the top duos in high school football.
DB — Jalen Catalon, 5-9, 180, Mansfield Legacy (Texas)One of the top players in Texas is coming off a big-time sophomore season. He had 183 tackles, nine interceptions, seven tackles for loss and three forced fumbles. Catalon checks in as the No. 6 safety in the Class of 2019.
AP — Bru McCoy, 6-3, 215, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)The nation's top rated athlete in the Class of 2019 is primed for a monster junior season. Last season he had nearly 500 yards receiving and also had six sacks. He will be one of many playmakers for Bruce Rollinson in 2017.
P — Ryan Sanborn, 6-2, 180, Francis Parker (San Diego)Sanborn finished his sophomore season averaging over 40 yards per punt and 20 of his 48 punts were downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
Second Team Offense

QB — Jacob Conover, 6-0, 185, Chandler (Ariz.)He led Chandler to a 6A state championship in his sophomore season and finished 2016 with over 3,000 yards passing and 36 touchdowns. The Wolves begin the season at No. 14 in our Xcellent 25 rankings and Conover will get a chance to prove he is one of the best quarterbacks in the country against No. 3 IMG Academy on Aug. 26 on ESPNU.
QB — Grant Tisdale, 6-1, 205, AllenThis could be the year Allen brings home a state championship for the first time since Kyler Murray led them to three consecutive state titles from 2012-14. Tisdale and Wease will be one of the most dangerous quarterback/wide receiver duos in America.
RB — Quavaris Crouch, 6-2, 225, Harding University (Charlotte, N.C.)The nation's No. 1 running back in the Class of 2019 lead Harding University to its first playoff appearance in six years in 2016 after rushing for 1,300-plus yards and 17 scores. The 4-star running back checks in as a Top 20 recruit overall.
RB — Devyn Ford, 5-11, 185, North Stafford (Va.)The country's fourth-rated running back is one of the most coveted players in the country. The 4-star recruit has received nearly 30 scholarship offers and don't expect that to end anytime soon.
RB — Austin Jones, 5-11, 190, Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, Calif.)The Top 100 recruit overall from the Class of 2019 rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2016. He eclipsed the century mark 12 times during his sophomore season and helped Bishop O'Dowd to the CIF Division 5-AA state championship.
WR — Arjei Henderson, 6-1, 180, Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, Texas)The 2019 Oregon Duck commit is one of the top playmakers in the country. He finished his sophomore season with 100 receptions, 1,401 yards and 18 touchdowns.
WR — Devonta Lee, 6-2, 210, AmiteLee is one of two players from Amite on the 2017 Preseason Junior All-American team. The talented wide receiver checks in as the No. 5 wideout in the Class of 2019 and is a Top 40 player overall.
TE — Hudson Henry, 6-5, 225, Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, Ark.)The 4-star tight end is following in the same footsteps as his older brother, Hunter Henry, the starting tight end for the Los Angeles Chargers. Expect a big-time junior year for the talented tight end playing for one of the most explosive offenses in the country.
OL — Kenyon Green, 6-5, 315, Atascocita (Humble, Texas)The future LSU Tiger checks in as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the Class of 2019. The 4-star recruit helped protect a 3,500-yard passer and a 1,000-yard rusher in 2016.
OL — Evan Neal, 6-7, 375, IMG AcademyThe 4-star offensive lineman from IMG is one of the biggest and best high school football players in the country. He checks in as a Top 100 recruit overall and is the No. 5 offensive guard on 247sports player composite rankings.
OL — Keiondre Jones, 6-4, 315, Callaway (Hogansville, Ga.)The 4-star offensive guard is one of the most talented lineman in the country. He is rated as the No. 3 guard in the Class of 2019 and is a Top 100 recruit overall.
OL — Deyavie Hammond, 6-4, 320, Lakeland (Fla.)The 2019 Alabama commit is an absolute nightmare for opposing defensive lineman. He is one of the best run blockers in the country and his pass blocking skills are off the charts, too.
OL — Andrew Coker, 6-7, 335, Katy Taylor (Texas)The 2019 Florida commit helped pave the way for a 2,400 yard rusher in 2016 and expect another big season for
Ean Beek with Coker back in 2017.
ATH — Dominick Blaylock, 6-0, 185, Walton (Marietta, Ga.)The Georgia commit checks in as the No. 2 wide receiver in the Class of
2019 and is the 20th-rated player overall. The scary thing is football
might not even be his best sport, he is one of the best baseball players
in the country, too.
ATH — Jadon Haselwood, 6-2.5, 180, Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, Ga.)The nation's top rated wide receiver in the Class of 2019 checks in as the 10th-rated player overall. Just like Blaylock, Haselwood is also a 2019 Georgia commit. The 4-star playmaker helped lead Cedar Grove to the 3A state title in 2016.
K — Caden Davis, 6-1, 175, Coppell (Texas)Davis
was a Texas AP All-State selection in 2016 and was also a second team
selection on the 2016 MaxPreps Junior All-American squad. He connected
on all 51 extra points and was 15-of-20 on field goals.
Second Team DefenseDL — Chris Hinton, 6-4, 265 Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, Ga.)Greater Atlanta Christian's Chris Hinton is the top rated strong side defensive end in the Class of 2019. The 5-star stud checks in as the No. 9 overall recruit on 247sports player composite rankings and is the No. 2 recruit from Georgia.
DL — Stephen Herron Jr., 6-3.5, 235, Trinity (Louisville, Ky.)One of the main leaders on Trinity's 6A state championship team from 2016 was 4-star defensive end Herron Jr. The 2019 Michigan commit had 51 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 10 sacks as a sophomore and led Trinity to a spot at No. 16 in our final Xcellent 25 rankings last year.
DL — Matthew Pola-Mao, 6-2, 295, Mountain Pointe (Phoenix)The No. 2 recruit overall from Arizona is one of the top defensive lineman in the country. He is a force for opposing offensive lineman and expect a monster junior season for the 4-star defensive tackle.
DL — Zacch Pickens, 6-3, 245, T.L. Hanna (Anderson, S.C.)One of the top players from the Class of 2019 is T.L. Hanna's 4-star defensive end. He checks in as a Top 30 recruit overall, No. 4 strong side defensive end and is the No. 1 player from South Carolina. Pickens had 14 tackles for loss and nine sacks as a sophomore.
LB — Kevin Harris, 6-4, 210, GraysonHarris, along with Owen Pappoe will be one of the best 1-2 tandems at linebacker in football. Harris is one of the most explosive outside linebackers in the country and expect him to line up at defensive end a lot in 2017, too.
LB — Diamante Howard, 6-2, 180, Southridge (Miami)The 2019 University of Miami commit is one of the top linebackers in the country. He played a major role leading Miami Southridge to its first state title since 1993 last year. The second cousin of the late Sean Taylor is one of the most talented players from the Sunshine State.
LB — Shane Lee, 6-0, 240, St. Frances Academy (Baltimore)The nation's No. 3 inside linebacker in the Class of 2019 left one DMV power for another entering his junior year. He helped lead St. John's (Washington, D.C.) to the WCAC state championship game in 2016 and is hoping he can help lead St. Frances Academy to a spot in the Xcellent 25 rankings in 2017.
LB — Ahdarrious Gee, 6-1, 190, Crisp County (Cordele, Ga.)The South Carolina commit has a knack for finding the football. The hard-hitting linebacker had 208 tackles in 2016 to go with 26 tackles for loss.
DB — Diwun Black, 6-3, 190, Forest (Miss.)Black was an absolute nightmare for opposing quarterbacks in 2016. He finished his sophomore season with 12 interceptions and also had 76 tackles, seven tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.
DB — Jaleel McRae, 6-0, 185, New Smyrna Beach (Fla.)Florida has been adding impact players to both the 2018 and 2019 class for awhile. One of the first to start that trend was Jaleel McRae. The super talented safety committed with the Gators back in February 2016 and they are getting one of the best players in all of Florida. The 4-star defensive back checks in as the No. 4 safety, No. 5 player from the Sunshine State and is a Top 40 recruit overall in the Class of 2019.
DB — Daxton Hill, 6-0, 180, Washington (Tulsa, Okla.)A defensive back that has been trending upward is Booker T. Washington's 4-star safety Daxton Hill. He is the top rated player from Oklahoma, No. 3 safety and is a Top 30 recruit overall from the Class of 2019.
DB — Tayvion Land, 5-8, 160, Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Virginia Beach, Va.)Tayvion Land has some
Brendan Radley-Hiles in him. While they both don't have the size, they make up with their playmaking abilities. They are two of the top defensive playmakers in the country and expect a big year for the 4-star cornerback. Land helps lead one of the most talented teams this season as they start the year just outside of the Top 25.
AP — De'Gabriel Floyd, 6-2, 220, Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, Calif.)The former Hawkins (Los Angeles) star is one of the most talented players from the Class of 2019. The USC commit had 85 tackles, 10 sacks and rushed for more than 700 yards as a sophomore. He will play his junior season at Golden Valley and the future Trojan checks in as the No. 25 overall recruit and No. 5 player in all of California.
P — Drew Dabney, 6-3, 215, Lafayette (Oxford, Miss.)Dabney averaged over 40 yards per punt for the 4A state champions in 2016.
