IMG Academy top defensive tackle commits back home to Maryland

Camaron Spence, the nation's No. 12 defensive tackle from the Class of 2017 according to 247Sports Composite Rankings, committed to Maryland this morning via Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Maryland native from IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) told 247Sports last month, "There's always great, talented kids in Maryland that leave the state, so the staff has just been saying if we get some of these kids to stay home, Maryland can really take things to the next level. It's something I believe in, but I just have to see it for myself."

Spence is one of 11 Top 200 senior recruits at IMG Academy, which itself recruits top high school players from throughout the country. He played at Gilman (Baltimore) before moving on to IMG.
