Nix, a 6-foot-5 point guard, is regarded as the No. 11 prospect in the Class of 2020 according to 247Sports. He was named co-MVP of the Grind Session and earned an invitation to the McDonald's All-American Game.
The reshaped professional pathway program has increased its maximum salary from $125,000 to upward of $500,000 and is expected to draw more prospects from the Class of 2020 in coming weeks.
Shams Charania of The Athletic tweeted that Nix's salary is expected to be in the $300,000 range.
