Alex Huston added to his total with a personal best and state record 715 yards in an 85-44 playoff win over Ozark on Friday.
According to the Springfield News-Leader, Huston was 33 of 45 for 715 yards and nine touchdowns. He also ran for 28 yards and two touchdowns to account for 11 total touchdowns in the win.
The victory puts Glendale in the Missouri Class 5 quarterfinals with an 11-0 record. In its third year under head coach Mike Mauk, Glendale went 5-7 last year and 2-8 in 2014.
Huston had 5,084 yards and 64 touchdowns entering Friday's matchup with Ozark. He now unofficially has 5,799 yards and 73 touchdowns. The yardage total is the fourth-highest total in national history and it breaks the state record of 5,608 yards Huston set last year.
Huston becomes the eighth high school quarterback to ever throw for over 700 yards. His total breaks the state record of 625 yards Huston set last year.
