Lewis-Palmer remains atop the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army Nationa Guard for the third-straight week, but a pair of California teams moved into the Top 10, giving the state three Top 10 teams and five in the Top 25.
Lewis-Palmer, which finished its season three weeks ago with a Colorado 4A state title, is hoping to hang on at No. 1 as the 2014 high school volleyball season nears an end.
Lewis-Palmer was led to a 29-0 record by Alexa Smith, a finalist for MaxPreps National Player of the Year.
Mercy remained No. 2 and Brentwood is third. Rounding out the first five are Jesuit and Parkland.
In addition to No. 7 Sacred Heart, No. 8 Redondo Union and No. 9 Aliso Niguel, California teams Archbishop Mitty at No. 22 and Pitman at No. 23 returned to the Top 25.
In addition to Mitty and Pitman, new to the Top 25 this week is Kansas 5A state title winner Aquinas.
