While there was a host of movement lower in the composite rankings, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) remained entrenched at the top. The Ascenders' season is complete after an unblemished 2017 campaign, while the Monarchs have possibly two games remaining, should they beat St. John Boscso (Bellflower, Calif.) on Saturday in the CIF Southern Section Div. 1 final.
Chandler (Ariz.), which plays Perry (Gilbert, Ariz.) on Saturday for the 6A title, is one of six new teams in this week's Composite Top 25.
