Hannah Kohn was nearly unstoppable earlier this week as the junior
Hagerty (Oviedo, Fla.) guard set a single-game girls high school record with 19 made 3-pointers in an 88-23 win over Lyman.
The previous record was 17, according to the NFHS record book, by former Duke player Rebecca Greenwell of Owensboro Catholic in 2013 and Alicia Reyes of Pueblo in 2016.
Kohn finished with 61 points on Tuesday, making 11 shots from beyond the arc in the first half, seven in the third period to set the national mark and finished with a final trey in the fourth period for the 4-4 Huskies.
In her first season at Hagerty, Kohn played her freshman and sophomore seasons at Master's Academy where she averaged 15.6 points per night. She helped the Eagles to a 3A runner-up finish as a freshman and hit 84 3-pointers on 231 attempts as a sophomore.
Kohn's father, Josh, is the Hagery boys coach and was a four-year starter at UNC-Asheville.
"I achieved something. And I felt so loved today," Kohn told the Orlando Sentinel. "It was easy to accomplish so much because of the way my team and my coach were today. All the girls were hyping me up. They were finding me open. They're like the most unselfish teammates I've ever had."
